London Apps 2001 - Who applied when?
Hi,
Message to all those who applied to London before Nov 1st 2001, and whose applications have been sent to Adelaide for completion.
I thought it would be useful to log all those who applied and when in order to get a feel for what is happenning when they start to be contacted and/or granted.
Please let me know what month you applied and any contact you've had recently and I'll create a spreadsheet to share!!!
I applied Sept 4th 2001, front loaded, police checks redone last month.

hi masher.
I applied july 4th 2001, front loaded medicals end of june 01 not requsted, police checks redone july01.
agent asked me to fill in form 80 and some more self employed proof bits end of oct 02.

Hi
We applied 14 th September 2001 and have recieved our letter re transfer to Adelaide on 21 st October 2002. Not done anything about medicals yet as I think I read somewhere that the medical changes for children once they reach the age of 11. Does anyone know if this is correct as our daughter will be 11 in March so seems more sensible to wait until they are requested (if we get that far - still scared of hoping for a positive outcome in case of major let down).
Seems very unfair looking at the time line and seeing that many who applied to Adelaide months after us have had there visas approved for some time. Still thats life! What wouldn!t I give now for having been a bit less keen to get my paperwork sorted and waited a couple of weeks or so!!

Safe not to assume anything, one poor guy recently found out after 18 months refused due to not meeting basic requirements. (see 'OMG - refused' thread)

We had Our medicals 2 weeks ago and Our daughter who is 12 had to have a chest xray.

Letter from AHC to say ,moved to Adelaide Oct 5th 2002.

Applied to London August 15th 2001.
Had medicals 18th October 2002,on our own backs,police checks are back and We are just getting everything ready to DHL to Adelaide(think it will save time with post etc)
Only contact was to say application gone to Adelaide. Agent said would probably still be 20 mnts wait. Some say the London applications will get prioritised,also some say they will just be integrated with all other applications,who knows???
Will be great to hear of people getting contact from Adelaide.

We applied June 2001, got notification that our application is heading for
Adelaide 2 weeks ago.
Medicals and Police checks front loaded in May 2002
Hoping that the wait will not be too much longer, just hit 17 months so in
theory 3 months to ago!!!

Applied 24 October 2001, front end loaded with medicals & police checks, sent updated police checks this summer.
Annoyed (like quite a few other October people, especially) that we didn't wait a bit longer and send the stuff to Adelaide!!! Ah, well, hindsight is a wonderful thing, I suppose!

We sent ours in July 01, got letter to say sent to Adelaide, though nothing further. We're not doing medicals until requested as we are indefinite about whether we will be emigrating or not. It's a long story, but we've sort of changed our mind due to a few things, but as you get 5 years in which to take up your visa we're still going ahead with everything in case we change our minds....again!
