Last remaining relative visa & Bridging options
Hi,
Wondered if anyone could kindly help?
We are hoping my parents will get their Contributory Parents Visa in the next month or so.
My only sister is thinking about moving here too - no other family once my parents are here. Firstly could she apply as soon as they get their pr visa granted or will she need to wait until they are here?
Could she apply for a bridging visa whilst she is waiting for last remaining relative visa pr - she qualifies for WHV so potentially could get 2 yrs from that but bridging visa would be best yes?
Thanks in advance.
Bec

The last remaining relative visa is expected to close very soon. In any case it currently has a processing time of over 50 years. Yes, that isn't a typo. She could, if applied on shore, gain a bridging visa, but it would not have work rights.

Guessing she needs to find herself a nice Aussie boy!
I wasn't aware a bridging visa wouldn't allow her to work bugger!
Thanks.

Bridging visas usually carry the conditions of the original visa - which i her case would be a tourist one. Work is occasionally approved if one can prove extreme hardship, but I doubt that would come into play in this scenario.

So if she was here on a WHV that may work?
My parents are expecting a co in the next few weeks then they'll be talking to a Immi consultant to look options

Might be worth looking into, though the long timeline may come into it, i honestly don't know. Definitely ask a registered agent - we have some on here who all come well recommended. Don't ask the CO, they may not be up on those rules, an agent would be a better route to take
