Hello Everyone,

My company told me two days ago that their nomination has been approved. I've lodged my 457 visa application on the same day, are there any other persons here who have also lodged their 457 application recently?

I've downloaded form 160H and did the chest x-ray yesterday (clinic will send the results directly), also got an insurance cover online to get the proof of insurance letter required. I'm now waiting for CO to be assigned, I'm curious to have an idea of the waiting time, based on the experience of recent applicants.

Hi, our visa migration lawyer submitted our application on 1st July. I have just found out today that we are still on the CSL as secondary school teacher so finger crossed everything goes through fine.

One week after submission, my 457 visa application status is showing medicals finalised - application being processed further. Does it usutally take long for a decision to be made after meds have been finalised?

but if all the docs are showing as MET and meds are finalized
it usually wont take long for a 457
but then it depends on CO working..and the so called
internal and external checks

7. Timelines - No-one can accurately predict a timeline for any visa. Each application is different and will require different amounts of processing, and it is impossible to say at any point in the process how long an applicant will have to wait. Equally, all terms such as "Further Processing" "Further Checks" "Internal/external processing" "Additional processing" mean exactly what they say. DIAC is undertaking more work on that application, and the Region/Team to which your Case Officer belongs has absolutely NO bearing on the speed of processing.
