"Aplication being processed further" says on 17/09/09.
I think I'm about to meet my CO

Mine changed to "being processed further" around the same time as elzorro7823 and less than a week later the local embassy was doing employment reference verification. I applied toward the end of July under 175.

Cool, if you don't mind me asking, what job/specialisation did you apply under?

I'm an EE so I am on the CSL. I have to say though I am concerned about the new processing dates. Some people are concerned that we've (175 CSL less SS) gotten the 2012 bump too but I'm just concerned about the 15 month time frame on their website. It leads me to believe that they might slow down all processing as 6 months seems to be the current time frame for reg. 175 CSL. It seems to me that the changes made w.r.t. the demotion of SS non-csl would only accelerate our applications so why extend the application processing time frames? As I said I just have a bad feeling that the brakes have being put on all GSM visa issuance. I very much hope I'm wrong.

yeah~ it seems that many 175 csl applicants have their status changed to being processed further around mid-September. And some of them were called for employment verification. and I was, as well.
but i dont think it's a sign of speeding up. saw some guys lodged application around March and got "being processed further" and background verificiation around May, but they've not been assigned a CO till now....

same concern as u...and personally 15 months is acceptable for me, but i'm not sure whether ee would be removed from csl during the 15 months...

Oh that means employment verification is done prior to the allocation of CO?
Did they called up your current or previous employer(in case if any)?

Cheers....

Exactly who do they call for employment verification? Is it the supervisor on the employment letter from your employer which is subitted as part of the 175 application?

I asked my agent the very same question but she believes it's unlikely that employment checks would be performed by the embassy without a case officer giving that direction. She doesn't know for sure obviously.

As for who they contacted ... they contacted only the company I presently work for. I'm still in touch with my previous employer on a reg. basis (helping them with lingering issues on an old job) and they said nobody has contacted them.

Also of interest, communication was via email to the owner (who wrote the letter) and they asked if anybody else in the company had Australian migration plans.

Guys I think most of the july applicants are getting application being processed further.

Even I have "Aplication being processed further" says on 17/09/09.

Does this mean employment verification is over or something else. I know to get a CO it will take more time.

Good luck guys

Thanks for the info mate...that really looks amazing....but as the rules changing so often and new MODL review on a stack i guess they might have even changed this process .might be they want to do all verification well before CO gets allocated to keep a clean slate for CO and move application quickly...

Cheers....

I would tend to agree, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is! Glad I got some insight through these postings ... I was getting ahead of myself and I think I need to settle into a little waiting.
