My situation is almost like you. Did your job verificatuon went well? It's past 4 months of your job verification, did u contact DIAC to know your status? I comminicate with them twice after job verificaton and they informed that 'routine checking' is going on.

I would suggest you send a PLE.

PLE does do something. I got a reply from the PLE guy that :

Thank you for your email in relation to your visa application under Australia's General Skilled Migration program.
I note that a request letter was sent to you on 19/3/2010, if that was not received please reply to [email protected]
and it can be resent

Yours sincerely, Robert B for

It is definitely not ONLY a cut and paste thing.

The replies can be customized.

I have received an State Sponsorship approval letter from Western Australia.

What you guys suggest, should I apply for State Sponsorship and convert my 175 skilled visa to 176 state sponsor skilled visa..??? (I know that than I have to stay min. 2 years in WA)

Will it really makes the visa processing time shorter?

Your suggestions are required.

Regards

I think it would be better if you wait for call from CO with 175.
It is a big problem that with SS you have to stay 2 years in WA.

Please consider availability of jobs in other states-- may be a good reason to stick to 175. With it, you can move freely.

Consider my case, I am non-csl and heard no jobs for new comer (as accountant in WA). But no way, if get visa I have to stay there and do some other jobs or study further.

Think before you leap.

Dear Komail I will not recommend you to convert ur application from 175 to 176. It might be possible that taking 2-3 months more in order to process 175 application than 176 but it might be possible that limitations will affect u in Australia. So i suggest u that 4-5 months delay is better than to go to Australia quickly on 176 visa..I have seen some applicants who converted their application from 175 to 176 but they say that it will not affect much on the processing speed of the application..any how it's my own opinion. It's up to u that what u want to do? Best of luck dear...

Why don't you send Med & Pcc? Those are valid for 1 year and may faster the process.

Follow my time-line. My agent said it may take 3 months - 3 years to process.

They haven't asked for the medical & PCC yet. Neither I have received any email about CO.

Last time I send PLE, the reply was:

Your enquiry has been referred to the Manager of the area processing your visa application. They will follow up and have a case officer allocated to assess your application.

Now, its just long waiting waiting and waiting...
