Default A job for a year

I want to go with my family (wife and two kids) tow Australia or New
Zealand for about one year. This to visit my family overthere and for
the adventure. What would be the best way to approach this? Should I
search a job first, so I have a sponsorship? Or should I first get some
kind of VISA and then apply for a job?

You need to start by reading through what visas are avilable and which ones you are eligible for.
