Hi hope you can help - we're June 04 applicants so still waiting to hear (of course). I'm trying to get some clarity on how things should actually work regarding timing of when Assurer can be expected to get a call from Centrelink. I've read of quite a few people whose assurers seem to have been called in really early, but have heard nothing regarding their application since. I queried this timing with our Agent (thinking since our Assurer hasn't heard anything yet, there might be a problem of some kind!). Agent didn't really seem to be able to give a definitative answer, and suggested our Assurer contact Centrelink which he duly did. Centrelink hadn't heard of us, so Agent then e mailed DIMIA, who sent a reply to say all forms are still in our file in Adelaide, and will be passed through to Centrelink in due course, when a Case Officer is allocated to us. Now this sounds as it should be, but still curious to know why some Assurers have already been interviewed so early on, and why the inconsistency?

You will get a letter (that needs to be posted to assuror) when they request your medicals and Police checks.

That's how it happened with us.

The letter is issued to post 1-July 04 applicants. For old applicants, assurer is intimated by Centrelink.
