I've got my Working Holiday Visa, what do I need now to start working?
G'Day All.
I've got my Visa, what do I need next in order to start working? Do I need a Tax Number, if so were do I get it from? Does any body know where I can rent a cheap apartment on a Week by Week basis in Melbourne/Sydney? All the apartments for rent I've found ask for 3-6 months!!! Thanks! |

As you have already found out, owners will at least want a 3 month term more likely 6 months A full months rent in advance as a bond is also required. References from previous landlords may also be needed. Sandy |

in my experience if you want to live on the cheap and you are a traveller then go
live with other travellers and you will always be able to find someone who can put you up for a couple of weeks - the landlords i encountered didnt care who stayed for how long as long as there were people paying rent every week and there was no trouble then everything was ok... i know people (including myself) that lived like that all their year in Oz. When you're in a hostel you'll find that there are LOADS of people looking for flats - just hook up with a few trustworthy ones and you'll be fine... the cheapest way to live is get a bivvy and live on the beach ! the best way to live is to hunt around for a cheap place in the traveller areas (Glebe, Bondi, Coogee, Ultimo). good luck ! bigman "Sandy Cruden" <[email protected]> wrote in message news:[email protected]... > > > -- > > "DaFunkyMan" <[email protected]> wrote in message > news:[email protected]... > > G'Day All. > > > > I've got my Visa, what do I need next in order to start working?
