Default Investment Banker- Which category under SOL/ MODL

Hi,

I am a Chartered Accountant and have worked as a Investment Banker for the last 4 years. Which category under the SOL should I consider to apply in? What would be considered a right match.. .If there are any Investment Bankers who have immigrated to Australia.. please help me

Thanks! Appreciate any help!

Cheers

I think it would be easier to apply as an accountant, and try to obtain State Sponsorship.

Get the info from http://www.immi.gov.au/

With state sponsorship you may have 100 points without the need to use your work experience.

But the OP would still have to have the recent work experience in something on the list.

Mininow - if you worked as an accountant for 12 out of the last 24 months, then I would definitely apply as an accountant. Otherwise there are some possibilities such as Financial Market Dealer, Financial Dealers and Brokers, Futures Trader. Have you actually checked the list? You are obviously the best judge of what category you fall into.

Agreed. Though I thought when I lodged my application my work experience never mattered since I already had 100 points.

No the work experience is essential. Unless ... I think the applicant has just finished studying in Australia or something, but don't quote me on that.
