Wallaby,

Thanks for the support.

Yes, that's what I suggest - helping both sides.

You are doing a good thing. Collective email is better than answering individual emails. So don't feel bad about it. We are fully behind your action.
I think people are little worried about sending such an email to DIMIA. I saw lots of december people worried and frustrated but when it comes to something like this mostly they back off, everyone wants to play safe..

Cheers

Hi veeraj,

Nope - still waiting for people to send their names - I got to sign this letter. Hope it'll be over until the end of the week.

In any case, thanks for the cooperation, guys.

Regards,
Galilite

Thanks for your initiatives. Since the password is disclosed above anybody can change it, which may affect your plans to use this email ID to send a mass petition to Dimia.

Seems like promising news (and this is a second one already):

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251279

Maybe we won't even have to send it .

I'm a Jan applicant. I dont wish to sound negative, but all you'll get back is "processed in 52 weeks". I wouldnt waste the time, and risk putting their backs up.

They can quote you 52 weeks in a bland standard reply, knowing they are working on recruiting to clear the backlog, hoping you will be none the wiser.

If I was them, I would do this.

Just gotta sit it out.

Start crying once your 52 weeks are up. I havent found a government who is willing to be moved by anemail from one non-national.

regards

DarrenD,

First and foremost, looks like they've started moving so probably I won't even sent it. But I'll keep it up for another week to make sure.

Second, it's about uncertainty.

Third, it's more than one non-national. It's a number of non-nationals...

Default processing of pre july

hi galilite, there seems to be very slow processing of pre july applicants. post july are getting medical request very fast and some of them are getting visas.it seems for every 10 applications of post july they are processing 1 application of pre july so this is the rate of their processing so i think all of us still has to wait for long time. probably send them request for acceleration of the process or we will have to wait for long time.
cheers
jimmy
