Thanks George for the information.

I applied under Skilled Independent Category, 136 from India in Feb'03 and since Aug'03 I am residing in US. Mine and spouse PCC and Medicals was done in US in Nov'03. The delay is due to the fact that we were expecting a baby in March'04. Now, the medicals and passport details of the baby has also been sent to DIMIA in the first week of June.

Once the PR is granted will the email alone from the case officer be used for getting the stamping done from Washington D.C. In other words, can I get the stamping done in US instead of going to India and getting it done there.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,

Evidencing can be done in any country where there's an Australian consulate with visa labelling capacity - see the world guide on the DIMIA site for guidance - but if having your visa evidenced in India, this is the procedure.

Cheers,

Gerorge, I have received my Visa grant letter about one month ago and my CO advised me to collect my Visa from Australia Consulate in Mumbai. As I am currently living in Saudi Arabia I haven’t yet collected my Visa and I would like to do this on this September. Could you please tell me whether this rule will effect on already granted case?

Thanks in advance
