Immunisation records

Immunisation records
Hi!
I know you can get 'family allowance' in Aus soon after arriving Apparantly, you need to register and show the childrens immunisation records.
So how do you do this? Our Drs practice seems to need at least £20 before they will write any kind of letter for you.
So how is everybody else doing this?
Advice much appreciated. x

Our children have record books, given to them at birth. Each time they are immunised the doctor signs them. Do you have these ?

Immunisation Records
We too had our UK Red Health Record Booklets for our two children. However, these were not accepted by the relevant authority here in WA. They wanted information that had the relevant stamp of authority on it. Hence we had to get documents signed from the UK. It's worth bringing the records with you as schools need the information when you enrol children into schools.
Incidentally, we get some child benefit here, without immunisation records. However, if we were to apply for assistance with child care costs then we would have to supply immunisation records in order to receive any payment.

Do you have a red childrens health book for your kid? My kids are 10 & 6 and they were both given these books at birth. They have been completed by the doctors upon immunisation. I would have thought this record is proof enough without having to fork out for a doctors letter.

Re: Immunisation records
Interesting question. If you have the immunisation records in a foreign
language, do they need to be translated? Or is there some kind of standard
format statement that your child nurse can provide you with, i.e a form that
can be downloaded from somewhere?

Re: Immunisation records
Are there two types of benefits or allowances we do get for children?
It was posted that "we get benefit without immunisation record".Also
we need records for getting allowance and raising costs. Can u pls clarify?

Re: Immunisation records
Well, in our case we translated it for the doctor, and he signed the
letter. I do not know if that's the standard practice.
