Hi Group,
Glad to see things are almost back to normal here!!
A question for the experts probably but opinions are of course welcome
Regarding the english test, how easy is it likely to be, to convince a case officer
that my partners (main applicant) english is good enough to score at least 10 points?
The person in question has worked in England and now lives with me - a native english
speaker ( but not in England!) where the language between us is english. Is it
realistic to rely on this or should my partner just sit the test?
Thanks in advance, Silv

Silv,
My wife is Swedish where they learn english from 5 years of age until they finish school.
She did a degree where all the coursework was in English, though the language it was taught in was Swedish.
Their TV is mostly english programs with subtitles.
She worked for IBM where you have to read, write and speak english to join the company.
She taught courses for IBM in english
And yet she still has to sit the IELTS test which is a real pain as all the test centres are fully booked here for 2 months....ahhh!!
Sit the test...I guarantee they will have to
