IELTS Academic for Skills Assessment and IELTS General for points
I am applying for a 190 visa as an accountant. I sat the IELTS Academic test and scored R 9.0 R 9.0 W 7.5 S 8.5 which is sufficient for the Skills Assessment but not 20 points for English.
Can I use the result from the Academic test for the purposes of the Skills Assessment and now sit the General test to increase my points? Or will DIBP only give points based on an Academic test because that is what the assessing authority requires for the Skills Assessment? The DIBP website is not very clear on the matter:
"IELTS has an academic test and a general training test. You need only take the general training test unless your assessing authority tells you otherwise. "
