Default IELTS- 176 VISA, physio

Hi, a Belgian friend of mine is going through the immigration process and wonders whether she needs to sit the academic AND general modules as she is a physio? She's registered with Queensland Physio Board and NZ board and has practiced in NZ and UK.

Any advice would be much appreciated

I can't comment on the skills assessment requirements for Physio - for that I would get your friend to look at the webpage of the relevent assessing authority or give them a call - some skill assessments require the academic test.

If she has to do the academic test for her skill assessment - this will also be sufficient for DIAC and the visa application (it's General OR Academic - not both).

If her skill assessment has no language requirement then the General test is sufficient.

TBH, if she's not sure and wants to get it out of the way she may as well do the Academic (which I did). As she is a Uni graduate she should find it straightforward enough.
