I will Have A HNC Civil engineering - what is the australian equivilent qualification

I have nearly completed a HNC civil engineering. An I have City and guilds Autocad level 3 2d and 3d.

What are the equivilent qualifications in australia?

are they well thought of?

Will the HNC be enough to give me 40 points when applying?

Also how does a state sponsorship visa work, is it hard to get??:o

Thanks.

Is your HNC accredited by the Engineering Council UK, and if so, at what level? (eg IEng).

I think that it would need to be HND to get that - at least my HNC Mechanical Engineering isn't classed as a degree level qualification, but HND is...even though a lot of the parts of the the HNC are 'harder' than a degree (e.g. much of the maths)

My brothers Mech Eng Degree makes him a BEng.
