Yeeeeeeeeeeeeees - I still can't quite believe it!!!!
I got my letter this morning - initially thought that Aus High Comm were just returning my documents etc but sure enough there was a letter confirming that I have been granted my provisional spouse visa (subclass 309).
I am sooooooooooooooo relieved!!!!! And sooooooooo excited!!!! I think I probably woke all the neighbours I shrieked so loud.
For those that are applying for a spouse visa my timeline is below, I must point out that I was cat B as I am over the preferred bmi other than that i have no health issues. I have been having sleepless nights as we have booked our flights for departure 4th November and hubby and I finish work next week so took a bit of a risk hoping the visa would come through quickly and thank goodness it did.
Best of luck to anyone else applying or currently playing the waiting game - it is all worth it in the end!!!!
For anyone looking for flights etc, Singapore airlines have a deal on for flights in November - £559 London - Sydney. We also booked our hotel in conjunction with the airline on their singapore stopover special - choice of 5 bands of hotel based on what you want to pay. The likes of Hilton/Intercontinental/Oriental/Pan Pacific etc - £60 per room per night which I think is a bargain!!! So 2 return flights London - Sydney and 3 nights in Singapore for abt £1300. The deal includes free hotel transfers and transport in Singapore aswell as free entry and discounted entry to attractions.
