I am a parent with two kids the same age as yours and can't imagine why you would want to "leave them" in the country as you put it you talk about it like it's leaving a piece of furniture or something

Legally there's probably nothing to prevent you from moving to Australia.

No doubt the hordes will be along shortly to provide their moral opinion.

Cheers

Sure you can - the only problem you have is if you want to take the children with you and your ex says you cant in which case they cant go and by inference you couldnt go either.

Gads that is a bit harsh don't you think? You don't know anything at all about OP circumstances. Also men do this all the time and nobody bats an eyelid, if OP was a man would you be so quick to judge? Even if so, again you know nothing about the circumstances. IMO, is just not constructive to be judgemental like that.

Is this a case where he married after visa grant? Or are spouse + children included on same visa?

From memory, he got PR alone, and his since met the lady and wants to sponsor her as his spouse.

But she wasn't asking for people's moral beliefs she was asking whether legally she was allowed to. This is the Immigration Forum, threads don't go off thread.

You have your opinion.......I have mine..........some women will do anything for a man, if only she was that enthusiastic about her kids.

Just be warned, if you walk out on your kids now, you probably won't get them back. Fair or no, the courts will take a dim view of a mother who abandons her children to take off with her lover to the other side of the world. That's how they will see it, so be prepared for a backlash.
