HSE Advisor & Structural Engineer

Hello,
Firstly thanks for having a read!

I am a 29 year old Health and safety advisor and my partner is a 33 year old Structural Engineer with aims to relocate to Australia in June/July 2025. We are incredibly confused with the whole transferal of skills when applying for visas and we are most likely to just go get a 417 working holiday visa with the hopes that an employer will sponsor a 482 visa to extend our time to 3 years.

Can anyone in a similar position shed any light on whether this is a wise move? Both of our occupations are on the skills shortage list but the skills assessment criteria can get really confusing.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Engineers are assessed by Engineers Australia, and is straight forward if you have a recognised degree - https://www.engineersaustralia.org.a...lls-assessment

Sorry, not sure on yours - do you know the ANZSCO code?
