How many police checks
 

Hi there. We were just thinking ahead about where we would get our police checks. We are from Fife in Scotland but have lived in Surrey for the past two years. I was just wondering if we have to get a police check here and one in Scotland, or if we applied in Surrey would it include Scotland???

The English police check doesn't cover Scotland, but if you apply for a Scottish one there is an option on the form to tick for a check on the police national computer - that will cover England.

Thank you Pollyana. Great help. Do I have to be in Scotland to request this or can i ask them over the phone and get them to send the forms down? Cheers.
