How long for visa?
Hey dudes!
After numerous set backs we have now recieved our police checks and passed the medicals. How long do you think it will be fo the visas?
Also whats the best way to set up Aussie dollar bank accounts (HSBC seem to charge for a dual currency accounts and we rally only need an aussie cuirrent account) and how many £s do you think we need to take with us if neither of us have jobs yet?

You can have an Aussie HSBC account opened up from here. You can put in but not access it until you visit a branch over there. arnie2oz has detailed how to open an account.
Commonwealth Bank is also a fairly easy one to start up from here.
Take your credit card with you but leave £s here in UK account to pay the bill. It can take time to get an oz credit card.

You don't have a UK acct but if you're transferring currency via HIFX or the like it's fine.
