How long now?
Hi,
Like so many others I am patiently waiting for the all clear to bring my wife to
Australia from China. She has done the medicals and police checks a month ago but
immigration has still not contacted me.
How long is normal after the medical is done to get the clearance?
Is it normal to not contact the sponsor in Australia?

Hi Doug, I have just received my visa to go to Aus, slightly different circumstances to yours mine is a Prospective Spouse Visa and was processed through London. In all it took 19 weeks and once I had sent in my medical and police check I got the letter 4 days later telling me I had my visa. Neither myself or my fiance had to do an interview telephone or otherwise. I really think things differ from country to country but hopefully it shouldnt be to long now.

what if you sent everything in at once. i am from US and sent police checks and meds in with the application so that everything went in all together
