How Long Have You Been Waiting?
 

Hi Everyone

How many of you have been waiting longer than 8 months & not heard anything from DIMIA except for an aknowledgement?

It is those of you who have applied under 136 Skilled or 138 Skilled Sponsored that I am interested in.

We are only 4 months down the line but we have some friends who lodged last year.

DIMIA took my money in Sept 2003, and I got my visa award letter a week
ago. Roughly 10 months. And I would expect my application was fairly
simple to evaluate. I was told the whole process would take roughly 12
months, and it's probably been 18 if you include the professional
certification and my initially bodged visa app :)

Applied as skilled independent.

Other friends with more complex cases (retrieving birth certs from other
countries and getting translations, etc) have yet to hear, and yet got
their apps in at the same time.
