I have started a new thread in immi about the EOI because didn't know how to move this one.
My head is boggled by all the info on here.

Agree with others work out where you would
Best fit in first from a work angle, some places might be easier than
Others, that will then give you an idea! Perhaps if you can afford a little reccie would be good if not do some research! Weather, climate, what is it you want to gain from the move etc!
These are all important aspects as it is such a huge move to make!

In regards to the animals; we brought one dog last year she is my baby and for the blood tests, flights etc ( the company we used weren't the cheapest, but...) and quarantine I would say cost us between 4 n 5k.
So not cheap!
