Hoorah!! - Heard from my CO!!
Acquired my CO name from DIMIA receptionist last week, and duly sent her an e-mail politely asking where she was at with my application.
Got an e-mail today stating 'internal checks' were going on, and she would be in touch in 'due course.'
Come on then, what are they checking? and after four and a half months of waiting - when will due course be?

It's always worth playing to one's strengths. So, as my CO is a lady, and the Lapster was a bit of a stud muffin in his day, I was contemplating the following course of action.
1. Shower, hair slicked back, 3 dabs of Blue Stratos (1 behind each ear, the other around the pelvic region).
2. Don me best pair of denims, and BHS freshly ironed vest.
3. De-press the play button on my CD player, allowing Barry White to softly fill the room.
4. Pick up the phone, and allow my dulset tones to wash over her.
5. Finally, slip into conversation, that if she gives me a visa, I'll promise never to mention the 2003 rugby world cup final ever again.
What d'you reckon? Worth a shot?
