Dear all,
We got it !!! Our PR visas have already been stamped in our passports. The long
journey has finally ended.
We lodged the application to DIMA in Athens 10 months ago. After it has been granted,
we have arranged to pick them up in Aucklad as we already been living in Australia.
Therefore, we then flew out and flew back in for making an initial entry. It was
absolutely great feeling when we looked at that visa page, especially at the words
saying "permitted to remain in Australia indefinitely".
Thanks a lot.....to everyone here who gave us their opinions, suggestions and
encouragement.
All the best and good luck to you all who still waiting. Just hang in there, your
great time is on the way !!!
Pat & Paul

Congratulations Pat and Paul! It also made my day reading that same sentence,
'permitted to remain in Australia indefinitely'. *grin* Most wonderous feeling in
the world.
Congratulations again.
Dawn PR granted 14 March 2001 after waiting 1.5 months after submitting.

It really varies from visa to visa -- of the waiting length. Some get within 3
months/6/8/12 months. Even in the same visa category it can vary as well -- depending
on how efficient the local Australian Consulate/Embassey are in processing visa's and
the sorts.
Whatever visa you're aiming for -- good luck and hope you get it soon.
