Hi there, our medicals were sent over to Sydney by the DIAC-listed doctor who performed the medicals (George Square, Glasgow) - we never had our hands on them & my understanding is that that's the normal process.

The instructions are as follows: (reply from my agent)

Applicants outside Australia must arrange their health examination with a panel doctor and/or radiologist nominated by the Australian Government. A list of panel doctors and radiologists is at http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/panel-doctors/index.htm .

Before attending a health examination applicants need to:

1. Print off the required numbers of forms 26 and/or 160 to present to the panel doctor and radiologist; and

2. Complete the "Office use only" box to indicate the visa class applied for (eg subclass 176), the file reference number and/or the ID number on each form.

The current medical forms 26 and forms 160 need to be printed and completed as instructed before attending medical.

Your file reference is *********, the visa subclass is 176, and the processing office is just 'GSM Adelaide' (no other address needed).

Please note that the panel doctor is required to send all medical results to the Local Clearance Unit in Australia and not give them to applicants. Please ensure the doctor sends the medicals to the correct Sydney address, as follows:

Local Clearance Unit – Department of Immigration and Citizenship

Postal address: GPO Box 9984 Sydney NSW 2001

Courier address: Local Clearance Unit, Level 3/26 Lee Street, Sydney NSW 2000 Office hours for courier access 0900 – 1600 Monday to Friday (except Wednesday) 0900 – 1300 Wednesday

The doctor should use a courier or recorded method of post if you want to confirm receipt, as LCU and DIAC do not confirm receipt.
