Default Help with ACS RPL submission

G'day all

I'm trying to prepare an ACS RPL assessment. I have no quaifications but
a number of years working in IT. I've downloaded the application formbut
I am not quite sure what needs to go into the area of knowledge part of
the form.

Is there a format that the ACS require ?
Does anyone have an example of what this section should look like ?
Could someone e-mail me an example of the type of thing that should be
in the application.

e-mail: [email protected]

Cheers in advance
Mark.

If you do a search on the archives (either google or britishexpats) you will see that this has been discussed many times before, and there is LOTS of useful info about.... including an example of a section someone has done before.

Good luck with your application

We did by clearly saying - at this job I gained knowledge in this sub-area.

Here is an example of a section of our application:

"Data Communications and Networks
Starting at Soft One, I have worked with data collaboration in LANs. I have developed applications using Internet based WANs. My work experience from that point on was focused on Internet technology."

Hope that helps. If you have any more questions, send me a PM or email me at janainav-at-vlsweb-dot-com-br

Unless and untill you have a NINE (9) years of experience in IT, dont
even think about applying under RPL.

6 years = Qualified Australian IT Professional. (ACS Requirement)

1 year = Minimum requirment for DIMA (but no points will be awarded
under experience)

3 Years = To get 10 points as required by DIMA.

Thanks for the advice, I have 20 yrs in IT so I think I should be OK. I need the extra points from the ACS as I don't have a degree.
