What kind of migration:

- Remaining relative?
- Skilled Sponsored?
- Skilled Designated Area Sponsored?
- something else?

Rules are different.

Why don't you say just what kind of relative you're talking about?

For skilled-designated area sponsored, your relative must be any one of these to either you or your spouse:
1) a non-dependent child (natural, adopted, step)
2) a parent
3) a brother or sister (adoptive or step-siblings included)
4) a niece or nephew (including adoptive or step)
5) a first cousin
6) a grandchild

Your father's brother's wife's sister (effectively your non-blood-related aunt's sister), isn't on this list.

For skilled-Australian sponsored, only the 1st 4 types of relatives listed above will qualify.

So, the answer is, you won't get much help from your "relative" as sponsor for a skilled visa.

BTW, this information is easily available from the Skilled Migration Booklet, which would set you back by a grand total of AUD$10.
