Has any Jan 2004 skilled independent applicant (with ACS skill assessment ) received request for PCC/medicals?

No. Austimeline reports mid december being processed at the moment. Expect another month.

Thi is for skilled independent, non modl, non sponsored, non anything.

I think we've been hit by the july 1st changes slowing down our processing ..... ?

Hi,

Why is it taking so long? Then what about the April applicants? There will be considerable delay while processing their applications.

Does anyone have any idea as to how many applications were received by DIMIA for the period from 1st April to 14 April?

Nope as mentioned mid decemeber is being processed. I think its gonna take couple of months before they hit april applicants.

Trouble is they appear to have been stuck there for the last 6 weeks,moving
very slowly.I know because I myself am a mid-Dec applicant and hit that
point back then when I was monitoring it.Was moving fast then but has slowed
to almost stop,why? dont ask me....!

Hi All,

After observing austimeline post I find that december applicants have received requests for pcc/med in may/june. However I find no posts after that.

Is it because applicants are not posting or is it because DIMIA has stopped processing pre july applicants ie post december apllications processing for time being........... for processing post july applications?

Hi Victor,

We're April '04 applicants, we got our application in on the 8th April, otherwise we wouldn't have had enough points - so who knows when we'll see some action!!!!!

Hi,

I think everyone is confusing regarding June applicants who have received request for PCC/med. I know many people who had applied in mid June/second week of June & posted their applicantions by post. The same reached DIMIA by 1st July & they were considered as lodged after 1st July hence the request for pcc/medicals for those June applicants.

Remember people from all over the world send their applications & it takes days for their application to reach australia. Hence some aplication posted in June have received request for pcc/med. Hope this clarifies

You are right may be getting things mixed up. It seems there is a pause in the DIMIA process after 2nd week december. I think it might have to do with the following reasons;
- April rush due to points increase
- MODL and priority applicants
- New SIR rules and priority processing
Last but not least post july applicants and the new rules.

This might have caused the break.. But I do hope in the coming weeks this might change and get ball rolling.

This is just my guess hope this helps out. I am april applicant and I am sure I have to wait for a while.

No havent heard of any one been allocated a case officer yet for jan applicants. Also no one seems to be updating austimeline!!!!!!

There is a post in the austimeline yeaterday 11th; a Jan applicant had
received his med/pcc request.

Hope it is genuine and that means there is hope that things are
moving; but how about dec. applicants?; anybody has any clue.

wait.... wait .... dont get too excited....... I hope the one you are referring to is an MODL applicant (Hair Dresser). Even by normal standards also this MODL applicant seems to have received PCC requests very late (usually MODL applicants get request in 3-4 months.

Anyway seems the case officers have started touching dec/jan files. Hope processing will start soon for Dec/Jan applicants.

Another thought ..... I pity for those applicants who have applied after 14 April & before 1st July...... Even after satisfying 120 points, many are suffering........... might be envying those who applied after 1st july......
