Had full ack. Emailed new passport details. Should I have had an acknowledgement?

Had full ack. Emailed new passport details. Should I have had an acknowledgement?

Hope someone can offer advice.
I am applying for an STNI 137. I had my full acknowledgement about 4 weeks ago and decided to renew my passport before the visa was issued as there was less than one year left on it.
Question is, I emailed across to adelaide the change of details form 929 with a copy of my passport on monday stating my case number/reference number but have heard nothing back. Should I have received confirmation of receipt of the email???
