GSM 175 2 out of 5 years rule
Hi everybody,
wanna know 2 out of 5 years rule, is it continuous or accumulated presence over 5 years period....including visa evidencing...... cheers :) |

If you mean to qualify for a returning resident's visa, it is any period of presence in Australia in the five years prior to the date of application. It does not need to be continuous.

Sorry to but in. We are only going to get about 12 months in out of five. When we looked in to it, I got the impression that we will not be able to leave Aus on a holiday until citizen, (Unless good grounds to leave - i.e. compassionate for up to 3 months) But once been there for two years and have a house and good job we will apply then for temp RRV if we wanted to visit home. I may be wrong though. Tracey |
