hi all,
I have lodged my application for 175 visa online on 23rd May (Mechanical Engineer), but still have not got a case officer. Anyone applied in May and got CO? roughly how long would it take to get CO? I checked DIAC website so far they allocated applications lodged till January, so still few months to wait

Is there any requirement to show funds for GSM-175? I mean do we have to show sufficient funds in the bank account etc.?

Showing funds will depend upon the case and your CO may or may not request you to present your bank-statement. So wait for the call!

I would like to know if anyone who submitted paper based application in Jun2012, has received the acknowledgement.
I havent received mine, so I am bit worried. My application was received by DIAC Adelaide on 29-Jun-2012.

I have just got my case officer allocated and asking for PC & medicals, we only applied on 30th May so super quick. All other documents have been met which is great as my OH has been on off self employed so his career history & documentation is really messy & complicated.
We did fill in form 80, it is a bit of a pain but if they are going to ask for it any way you may as well do it upfront and save the delay. Didn't do form 1221 and haven't been asked for it.
I have booked our medicals today and could have our visa by the end of July.....two months from start to finish.

can any one confirm that e-mail of case officer getting assigned come from a common mail address or from the account of individual CO, if e-mail address is common then i would like to add it in my yahoo so it does not get marked as SPAM, applied to DIAC on march 5th still no luck

Today, I received a ACKNOWLEDGEMENT from DIAC containing following four attachments.
1) Acknowledgement Valid Application Received.pdf
2) Client Service Information.pdf
3) Vac 1 Receipt.pdf
4) Visa application summary.pdf
There wasn't any TRN in the document and I suppose there won't be any because TRN are given to online applications only. However, I do received a Application ID for my case and Client ID for all the migrating applicants in my case. Apart from this, there was also a File Number. The email also stated that it is a valid application and payment has been charged. My Application/Lodgement date was the date when they received my courier. I hope people who've submitted a paper based application during last week of June2012, must receive their acknowledgements now.
I am now waiting for Case-Officer to be assigned to my case.

I would request ppl to update their status if possible bcz this way we all would realize that what would have happend to our respective cases.

You should consider that maybe not everyone would want to do that. It's a bit intrusive to ask people's statuses/details. If they want to share, they'll share, but don't request others' details please.

Hi guys - am new to this forum. Any further progress on your 175. Has it been granted yet? i see that CO was allocated both your cases within 2 months. I applied on 12-June-2012 175 online and awaiting CO. Accountant category. Any information on the time it has taken after CO will be very helpful. thanks
