Default Great News!!

Hi All,

We couldn't wait any longer (the wait was killing us) so decided to ring
ASPC at 2.00am this morning good job I'm on holiday this week, spoke to a
very nice chap who after giving our ref no told us that our STNI visa had
been accepted and our visa details were sent to London on the 23rd August.
So we shall be expecting the pre-grant very very soon!!

I haven't been a big contributor to this newsgroup as I feel there are a lot
more informative people out there than me, but have read many posts which
have been very helpful so thanks to all on this newsgroup and thanks to
Jeremy for pointing us in the direction of the SMU for Victoria for which we
applied for an STNI scheme and was accepted.

Visa time scale:
Skilled Independent Application sent - May 2002
Put in pool - 14th March 03
Applied STNI for Victoria - 17th March 03
PC & Medicals sent - 26th June 03
Rang ASPC as above.

Going to Melbourne at the end of the year if we can sell the house soon!!

Good luck to all those waiting

Now then where's that beer????

Regards Richard.

I have lodged my application in October 2002. In the meantime, I have been asked to produce some documents and sent all last June. From June I have not heard anything. As my Application has been 11 months now, I am so disappointed. It is an on-shore application.

Would there be any possibility of refusal of application after 11 months.

Hi Richard,

Just curious, were you informed when your application was put into the pool?

Hi there,
Yes there was a letter waiting for us on our return from Melbourne in March
saying we had to claim any bonus points available to us otherwise our
application was going in the pool, couldn't claim any more points other than
5 for $100.000 investment which we didn't want to tie up so applied for STNI
which was excepted.
Regards Richard.

Well done. It's such hard work and in the same token such an achievement what you and many others have undertaken to follow the dream. A real reward. It's fantastic to hear when it all comes together for folks.

I really wish you all the best.
Phil.
