Default Graphic Designer trying to relocate to Australia.

Hi there,
I’m a 24 year old Graphic Designer, from the Uk. With experience in a Design and Advertising agency, I would love to relocate to Australia next year - and was wondering if anyone had advice on how to gain sponsorship within Graphic Design in Oz?

From my research, it seems tricky - Design is not considered a Skilled job. I am under the impression that the best route, is to get the Tourist Working Visa for a year and try to find contract work or gain sponsorship during that time? Ive been told this is highly unlikely, but it must be possible, somehow.

Any help or advice in regards to visa applications, routes to sponsorship, or any knowledge on Design specific visa rules would be sooo appreciated.

Thanks

Robert

You can check the skills list here: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visa...ccupation-list

If your occupation is not on the skills list then you cannot be sponsored by an employer either. The advice to spend a year on a working holiday visa to get a feel for the market and the place is good advice. If you are prepared to spend time out doing some specified regional work then you can extend it to 2 or 3 years.
