Hi everyone,
we finally got the the WA stni sponsorship approval letter (after 6 weeks!) but its conditional upon us having $45000 to bring with us to settle in WA.
As we are already here in WA on a 457 and have long since spent our $45000 on setting up home here, then that money is long gone!
the letter also "encourages" me to sit the IELTS but i thought the english lang criteria didn't come in til sept?
we just really don't know what to do, in sept i'll not have enough points to apply for PR cos not been nursing for 3 years yet, can't even get points for australian work exp cos will have only been working here for 5 months, looks like i'm stuck on the 457 til next march unless someone else has any suggestions?????

won't WA govt / DIAC want to see any proof that we actually had the money when we got here?

cars x 2, furnishing a (rental) home, that's our net assets, wish we still had the $45000 in the bank, would make applying for visa more straghtforward.

Get some professional assistance as it may not be legally possible for them to put that kind of condition on STNI. Especially if you have already settled in Australia.
