Got the Visa - now I can post more : )))
 

Hi guys.

Got the fat 1st class Envelope this morning with Australia House on the outside this
morning. (The first sentence basically says congrats you got it - and they include a
DIMA form guide to migration of some sort (I haven't had time to read it.))

It feels great to get the reward after jumping through all those hoops.

I'll stick my progess on the austimeline site later, but the upshot is I applied with
frontloaded medicals and police checks to London at the end of February last year.
Skilled independent Secondary Teacher. It looks like they made the decision on May 17
- three days after receipt of new police checks - and 5 days later the letter
arrived. So thanks Newsgroup for the tip-off that they were about to deal with the
next batch of mail - I got in under the wire!

I've been largely lurking on the site, but now I feel able to contribute more as I
was always afraid of saying the wrong thing in case AHC London bounced me. Any

Congrats, I'm glad to see that they used 1st class post!!! They deemed it in their wisdom to send my 2nd class and because I live overseas from the UK it had "insufficient postage" and came six weeks later by service mail.

Anyway, enough moaning I am very happy I got mine too!

Looks like their posting em out like christmas cards at the mo.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! Did it only take you 15 months then ??? I know some of you have been waiting much longer !!! Hang on in there I'm sure it'll work out for us all in the end... Hope the bottle of red went down a treat ! Regards Darren & Julie

Thanks for the good wishes. Was it only 15 months? I had myself so
psyched up that it would be 20 months ++. The guys in AHC have really been pulling
the stops out. I hope they get transferred to a decent job when all the
pre-Adelaide work is done. I've found them to be helpful, forthright and honest in
every call and email I've made with them. Oh, and yeah ... the red went down
beautifully!
