Got STNI, how long now
 

Got an e-mail yesterday confirming STNI. Just need to sign and return the forms and wait for DIMIA to request the medicals.

Put in the main application in December and the STNI application 25 March. Any thoughts on how long it might be now?

It is really happening now!!!

supposed to take 1 to 6 months from when DIMIA know about STNI

Congrats for getting STNI.

By the way what is your accupation and when did you apply.
I applied in Feb 2003 for STNI VIC and did not hear anything from them.

Please share information.

Well done!

We got STNI 3 weeks ago and decided to take a risk and had our medicals done last week. We had already applied for police checks and at the mo they are all winging their way across to Adelaide.

Hopefully, this may speed up the process as we are trying to get there for the end of the year.

I just got my STNI (SA) visa recently.

Nov '02 - got STNI approval.
Dec '02 - posted application to DIMIA
March '03 - request for medicals (already got them done - in Feb). Sent mid March.
April '03 - visa granted :-)

where can I find out info about the stni visa as I have a friend who is an engineer specialising in a/c and refridgeration and he is interested

use the search function here first then come back and ask particular questions
