got CO, no mention of IELTS though

got CO, no mention of IELTS though
I've just received email from my CO who has asked for a couple of PCCs (from Australia and Dubai) as well as Medicals. But I couldnt find any reference for IELTS examinations requirements in it.
Does this mean I dont need to go through IELTS ? isnt it a requirement if English is not my FIRST language ?

However I don't think CO just forgot to ask you about it. Maybe you don't need to show any further evidence of your english language ability. What is your application type?

That is strange. Have you not included any proof of english language ability? When I got my request from CO, it asked specifically to show proof.
However I don't think CO just forgot to ask you about it. Maybe you don't need to show any further evidence of your english language ability. What is your application type?

I applied for 136-MODL in March-07 by the way ...

Yes thats really strange, however I've read the Letter several times and he has actually attached a checklist at the last page where he has specifically asked for three things, 2 PCCs and Medicals.
