Hi there
I intend to submit my application under the skill category and am short of the
required 24 points but within the 5 points mark.
I am from the banking industry and would like to seek job in the same line if
possible. Does it mean that is it compulsory that I have to find a job in the
banking line during the 6 months period if the working visa is approved?
Kindly advise
Thanks
Cheers
Tony

Yes, you have to get a job offer in the six months the working visa is valid. There
is a LOT (like 50 per day) of advertisements for banking/finance in the newspapers,
in several different fields.
I must warn you that most employers don't seem keen on hiring immigrants, but if you
persist you will find a job. If there really is such a shortage as would appear from
the sheer number of ads you might be in luck and find a job very very quickly. I
managed to find one after 9 weeks which is fairly quick. In my field there are about
10 advertisements per week.
I don't know where you're from, this might make a difference.
