Got It!!!!
I rang Australia last night and was told that our visas have been granted!! Apparently they sent us a letter on 22nd Jan but we haven't received it yet - hope it turns up soon, then we can get some plans in action. It is a great feeling after all this time waiting and such a relief. No more living in that horrible limbo land! 17 months of waiting over!
Applied to London 11th Sept 01, skilled independent - plumber, transferred to Adelaide October.
We will be heading to Adelaide. If anyone has any questions, advice or wants to get in touch once we are in Adelaide feel free!
Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Great news Debbie, we also applied 7th September 2001.
My husband is a carpenter & Joiner and has been offered a job (he actually got offered it over a year ago, but they said they would hold it open). All we need is an electrician and brickie and we're sorted!
We have called twice in the last week but they won't tell us anything. Hope we hear from them soon.

If you applied for Skilled Independent class BN, then you have applied
for both subclass 136 (independent) and 137 (STNI).
It might be worth informing Adelaide direct that an STNI nomination
has been made.

This is not intended to be legal advice in any jurisdiction
for both subclass 136 (independent) and 137 (STNI).
It might be worth informing Adelaide direct that an STNI nomination
has been made.
