going to Oz before 457 granted ?
Hi Guys
Has anyone had any experience of going to Oz on an ETA whilst still waiting for their 457 visa ?
I was wondering if it is possible to go there for a holiday whilst waiting and then stay on once the 457 was granted. What would the restrictions be ? would you need a return flight? etc.
any advice would be appreciated !!

You will probably be able to buy a one way ticket without a problem, but it's not recommended. You could run into problems on the other end (i.e. with Australian immigration).
I think you could get away with it, but it is not a risk free decision.

I fly on 13th november and my visa hasnt arrived yet. I have got a return flight to save on any hassle and may use it at some point anyay for a holiday!!! I will be getting an eta if visa dosnt arrive in next couple of weeks
