Going from 457 to skilled independent 136
I am a nurse and applied for a Class BN 136 Skilled Independent in October 2005 and received confirmation of this on 17th October 2005. Does anybody know how long visa's are taking to come through for this type of visa?

Somebody told me that the delay in hearing from DIMIA could be due to them requesting my original application docs from the London High Commission for the 457. Is this something they do Jeremy?
