To go alone or use visalogic type service??

Hi
Looking to come to Aus asap.
Married with 2 kids ...have answered an ad by visalogic...but wondered if it is just as easy to go through the paperwork etc yourself or through said company (ies ).
Do they do all the work or can it be done by yourself?
How much does it cost to go over by yourself?
