getting parents to OZ
hi
We got our PR this yr and we are looking at getting our parents on both sides on a PR as well in a few yrs(3-4).Parents are financially stable.
I was wondering how many ppl can we sponser ????

They will need to pass the balance of family test in order to qualify for a parent contributory visa. If they do not pass this it will be extremely difficult for them to get a PR visa as over the age of 45 there are very few options.

Over 55, the Retirement visa is a temporary visa that may suit those who are well off. Note that this closes to new applicants on 30 June 2005.

Our mother is 68 this year and we are her only relatives along with our partners and her grandchildren. Does this mean that any chance of her getting to Oz permanently is out of the question?

I was only discussing options for those who do *not* qualify for parent visas (aged dependent relative or carer are further options that occasionally can suit a parent with specific circumstances).
