Getting credit

Moving to Melbourne in April, could anyone advise as to whether it would be easy enough to get a car on HP. What about credit cards?

Hi,
We went to Sydney on a 457 visa in 2000 and didn't have any trouble getting a Mitsubishi on HP from a dealer, so you should certainly not have any trouble with a PR visa.

I arrived in victoria in may on a 457 and got my car on hp, the only condition I had was the finance lasted as long as my visa. I also managed to get a credit card from westpac.
