Question In general: is migrating to NZ more easy than to Australia ?

Has anyone tried two countries simultaneously or separately and may be to share its own expirience. First look upon immigration rules gives impression that NZ is more friendly than Aus !

From what I've heard I'd agree. Though I think NZ maybe tightening the belt a bit.
