yeah they sped up - this email's a total worst case scenario. Even paperbased applications from as late as April this year have been getting grants.

(but don't forget, the charter states 12 months processing time for offshore applications, 15 for high risk countries)

What visa? I am waiting for a 475, and they say 7 months ... for both ... but it takes 1 month to process 1 weeks applications.

Hi there,

We found processing times pretty speedy. We've recently had our 457 approved for 4 years and it only took them a week!

Our application was lodged on Friday 26 September and was approved on Friday 3 October

I hope this helps and good luck

WOW ... that is fantastic!!

I am busy looking for work ... to try get a 457 first. Just so we can get over there!! My Migration agent even said she will waiver all her professional costs for the 457 application, and she will do everything!! Really good of them!!

However, the 475 ... who knows?

THIS THREAD IS FOR CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES.

It is a sticky thread so that it is easy to locate the current times as quoted in DIAC's weekly email. If you wish to ask questions on another topic please do so in a separate thread, or your posts will have to be moved.

Hello Kerry,

According to the 'official' update email:

General Skilled Migration visas: Class VE
Subclass: 175
E-lodged: 06 December 2007
Paper lodged: 15 October 2007

What this means is, they believe that all applications up to that date have been allocated visas, or COs for further processing.

According to the DIAC client charter, a 175 takes around 12 months to process. For 'real time' results, have a look at beupdate.co.uk to see timelines for other folk who applied for 175s.

Good luck for a speedy visa grant!

what make me angry about that email is : the processing time from BNE hast been update since sep 22

i have no idea what at the moment they do with on-shore applications , but i will just tell you that for sure , they cant meet 6 months time-line or 5 month for 485 , i have some friends which are waiting more then 7 months for bloody 485 to be processed, 885-886 goes up to 8-9 months.

Well done vlooi - but spare a thought for those on a 175 low risk country who are still waiting after 12 months. We only just got our CO and we applied Oct 07, and I know of others who still have not got theirs.
Hope all goes well for you, and to the others HANG ON IN THERE there is no logic to the visa/co grants is there?
