Default Fiancé Visa - what next after the wedding?

Please could anyone who knows what happens after the wedding advise what the procedure is. Do they use the info from your Fiancé visa application for the next step, or do you have to fill in more forms, and supply another wad of documents, proofs of relationship etc etc?

Would appreciate some feedback.

Dear Dave,

Just lodge a form 47SP and a form 40SP with evidence of the wedding and you
continuing relationship (utilities, letters, phone bills etc). Nothing
happens automatically!

Cheers

Thanks for the reply George.

I thought that DIMIA London would send my Fiancé application file to nearest Oz DIMIA office, and this would be matched up when I approach them with a marriage cert to get the temp res visa.

Will I need to go through police clearances, meds, stat decs etc etc again when submitting the 47SP and 40SP forms again? Also, my 47SP had several supporting schedules - would I have to supply these again, or would DIMIA Perth just refer to the Fiancé application file? (regretfully I didn't keep copies of all supporting evidence, and would have to obtain it again).

If you don't have the time to reply again, would appreciate info from anybody else who has done the 2nd step after the wedding on a Fiancé visa.

Dave

Can anyone clarify please? I'd be grateful for the info, and I'm sure it would help others too.

Hi Dave,
Be able to tell you more after my own wedding, but one thing I do know - your UK police check is valid for a year, so you need to redo it if you don't apply within the year. I think the same might apply to the medical, but I'm within the year on mine so I'm not sure.
Also you will need more Stat Decs - from people at the wedding maybe, and from people who know you in Oz, living as a couple. I was advised to get second Stat Decs from some of the people who had done the first ones, saying how the relationship is ongoing.

Hope that helps a bit.
