6 months after applying, we decide to e-mail our case officer to see how things are progressing seeing as we are fast approaching the end of our timescale given for nursing applications. Surprisingly we get an e-mail this morning from DIMIA apologising that the application hasn't even been looked at and will be handed to a case officer asap! Speechless! At least they apologised I suppose.

Know the feeling re. "fast-tracking". To pay the TRA extra money for "fast-track" which should take 3 months, and so far has been 4 1/2 has to be one of the most frustrating things in the world. And then when we finally get a hopefully positive result, we have to wait for DIMIA.
